Finnish Libraries Promote Ecological and Cultural Sustainability

On average, every Finnish citizen borrows about 21 books a year from a public library, while many magazines are well read in the libraries. The more often a single copy of a book or a magazine is read, the lower the publication’s environmental impacts are per usage. Libraries also promote cultural sustainability by preserving and sharing cultural heritage.
