Water supply and sewerage network

The water supply network in the area of the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for South Ostrobothnia is the densest in Finland, in terms of the number of residents. The sewerage system is also extensive, albeit only 60 % of the residents in the region are connected to the system.

Working together with public authorities the the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for South Ostrobothnia ensures the quality of the water supply and sewerage system, and protects ground water. About 80 % of the distributed water is ground water.
